Wheels of Love 2026 – Touring Program
For participants who want to experience Wheels of Love without spending their days on a bicycle—or taking on the longer hiking routes—we are pleased to offer a Touring Program.
Over four days, participants will explore some of the most fascinating places along the Wheels of Love route, from the underwater world of the Red Sea and the extraordinary desert landscapes of Timna to Makhtesh Ramon and the green Jerusalem Hills.
Whenever possible, the touring group will meet up with the cyclists and hikers for lunch and special gatherings, making this a true part of the Wheels of Love experience rather than a separate tour.
The program will travel by private bus and will include guided visits, sightseeing and optional short walks.
Day One – Monday, November 9
Eilat & the Red Canyon
We begin in Eilat with a visit to the Underwater Observatory Marine Park, where we'll discover the remarkable marine life of the Red Sea without ever having to get wet.
We'll then travel into the Eilat Mountains to join the Road riders and hiking group for lunch at the entrance to the Red Canyon.
After lunch, those who wish can join a fun, approximately one-hour hike through the Red Canyon, one of the most beautiful and colorful spots in the Eilat Mountains. The route includes some ladders and handrails.
The hike is completely optional. Anyone who prefers not to hike can relax at the lunch stop and cheer on the Wheels of Love riders as they come through.
Day Two – Tuesday, November 10
The Wonders of Timna
Today we'll explore Timna Park, where spectacular desert scenery meets thousands of years of history.
Traveling through the park by bus, we'll visit the Timna Visitor Center and explore some of the park's most famous sites, including the Arches, ancient chariot engravings, the Mushroom and the Sphinx.
Along the way, we'll learn about the extraordinary history of copper mining and smelting in this region, which stretches back thousands of years.
After lunch, we'll continue to the magnificent Solomon's Pillars, enormous natural sandstone formations that have become one of the iconic sights of the Arava.
We'll finish our Timna experience by meeting up with the Wheels of Love riders for the day's celebration.
Day Three – Wednesday, November 11
Makhtesh Ramon & Ben-Gurion's Desert
Today we head north into the heart of the Negev.
Our first stop is the Mitzpe Ramon Visitor Center, dramatically situated on the rim of Makhtesh Ramon. We'll learn how this extraordinary geological formation was created and enjoy spectacular views across the makhtesh.
From there, we'll continue to Sde Boker and the desert home of Israel's first prime minister, David Ben-Gurion.
We'll visit Ben-Gurion's home and then continue to Midreshet Ben-Gurion, where we'll visit the graves of David and Paula Ben-Gurion. Their graves overlook the breathtaking wilderness of Nahal Zin—a fitting setting for the man who believed so strongly in the future of the Negev.
We'll then continue north to the Neve Ilan Hotel.
Day Four – Thursday, November 12
The Jerusalem Hills & ALYN Finale
Our final day takes us into the beautiful Jerusalem Hills.
We'll begin at Sataf, where ancient agricultural terraces, springs and mountain scenery tell the story of farming in the Judean Hills over thousands of years.
We'll then travel to Bar Giora, where we'll join the Road riders for lunch.
After lunch, we'll enjoy a visit to a local winery before continuing to Jerusalem.
Our four-day journey concludes at ALYN Hospital, where we'll join the rest of the Wheels of Love community and welcome the cyclists as they cross the finish line.
It is the perfect ending to four days of exploring Israel together—and a chance to see firsthand the children and families whose lives are changed by Wheels of Love.
