Children with damage due to diseases of the nervous system or acquired damage due to an injury or serious medical event require a rehabilitative program that combines diagnosis, medical treatment, treatment with health professionals and more. The department treats children with neuromuscular diseases, strokes and cerebral hemorrhages, damage caused by infectious diseases, resuscitations and more. The Neurological Service at Alyn, led by Dr. Keren Politi, a pediatric neurologist, provides diagnoses and medicinal interventions with an extensive rehabilitation team of healthcare and professionals on staff. The treatment is administered while admitted to the hospital or in an outpatient setting, as required.
