Personalized Nutrition: The Foundation for Growth and Rehabilitation
The Nutrition Department at ALYN Hospital views proper nutrition as a central part of every child’s rehabilitation and development process. We believe that precise nutritional care is key to achieving the best rehabilitation outcomes. Therefore, we create a professional, personalized care plan for each patient, combining clinical expertise with sensitivity to each child’s unique needs.
Our Team and Approach
Our team consists of certified clinical dietitians who specialize in pediatric nutrition and rehabilitation. We treat complex medical conditions—including neurological, respiratory, metabolic, and orthopedic conditions—with the understanding that proper nutrition is essential “fuel” for recovery.
As an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, our dietitians work closely with physicians, nurses, and speech therapists to ensure safe feeding practices and accurate nutritional care at every stage.
Professional Support and Ongoing Monitoring
Nutritional care includes a comprehensive assessment and continuous monitoring of growth and body composition (muscle mass, body fat percentage, and bone mineral content). Based on this, each child receives a personalized nutrition plan that evolves throughout the rehabilitation process.
The plan takes into account medical conditions, allergies, and dietary restrictions, and when needed, includes nutritional supplements and medical nutrition to support tissue healing, bone strength, and muscle development—while ensuring essential nutrients for proper growth and respiratory function.
Food Services and Safety
The department is responsible for planning and overseeing the hospital’s menus, as well as the professional management of the milk kitchen. Our dietitians ensure food safety, adapt menus for infants and young children, and maintain high preparation standards to ensure that every meal is both nutritious and safe.
Moving Forward Together
We see parents and caregivers as full partners in the process. The department provides ongoing guidance and support—from admission through discharge preparation. Our team equips families with home nutrition plans, clear goals, and follow-up guidelines to ensure continued growth and development in a safe and supportive home environment.
We are here to ensure that every child receives the best possible nutrition, in the safest way.
