Hiking Routes

In 2026, we will once again offer a dedicated hiking program as part of Wheels of Love.

Hikers will be accompanied by a professional hiking guide throughout the event and will receive transportation between the hotels and each day's trailhead. Hikes will generally depart from the hotel at approximately 8:00 AM and return in the early afternoon.

The Eilat Mountains and the Mitzpe Ramon region are among the finest hiking destinations in Israel, offering spectacular desert scenery, dramatic canyons, and unique geological formations. While the final routes will be confirmed closer to the event, participants should expect daily hikes of approximately 10–12 kilometers (6–8 miles), including some challenging sections that may involve climbing ladders and navigating rocky desert terrain.

Daily elevation gain is expected to range from 300 to 600 meters (1,000–2,000 feet).

Tentative hiking routes may include:
• Mount Shlomo (Har Shlomo)
• Shehoret Canyon
• Red Canyon
• Hod Akev

The final day of the program will conclude at ALYN Hospital in Jerusalem, where hikers will join the celebration and welcome the cyclists as they complete their journey.
