Shani is an occupational therapist with over 15 years of experience, specializing in assistive technology and powered mobility. She has been an occupational therapist at ALYN’s Rehabilitation Educational & Day Care Center since 2008, working with children with complex disabilities, and is part of the Independent Living department. Shani also works in the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Clinic, and is actively involved with ALYN’s PELE innovation arena, which develops customized solutions for children with disabilities. She has been involved in numerous research projects at ALYN, including developmental co-ordination disorder and physical activity and telerehabilitation. Shani is also an instructor at the Kesher program at the Hebrew University’s School of Occupational Therapy, where she provides clinical supervision to students, teaching them how to create initial connections in the community with clients who have special needs. Shani holds a Master’s degree from the School of Occupational Therapy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
