The Daycare center is intended for toddlers aged 6 months to 3 years with rehabilitative and medical needs who require rehabilitative and educational support. Toddlers are referred by the Placement Committee of the Ministry of Welfare, taking into account the request of the parents. Toddlers are integrated in the Daycare Center.
The treatment plan
The Daycare Center in ALYN accepts toddlers with different levels of functioning. The treatment plan is tailored to the individual needs of each toddler. Each toddler is assigned a personal rehabilitation plan formed on the basis of the daily routine in the class. Each toddler’s personal goals are integrated into the schedule. There are individual treatments and group treatments.
The toddlers are placed in classrooms according to their level of functioning and according to their medical and nursing needs. All classes in the Daycare Center implement an educational and rehabilitative program, which allows the child to receive kindergarten education appropriate to their age and level of development, while implementing rehabilitative goals in accordance with the guidelines of the treating paramedical staff. Therapists from various health professions: physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapist, nurses, social workers and a nutritionist.
The staff
The Daycare Center also accepts children with special medical needs (children on ventilators, children with special nutritional needs, etc.). The nurses and assistants are in charge of handling their medical needs in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Health. Emergencies are handled by the medical staff of the hospital.
The staff of the Daycare Center specializes in the treatment of children with various diagnoses, such as: cerebral palsy (CP) of various types, spina bifida, arthrogryposis, osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), muscular and degenerative neurological diseases, preterm birth complications, eating problems, ventilation and complex medical conditions.
