Later this month I/we will be participating in the Heels of Love charity hike benefiting the ALYN Children’s Hospital in Jerusalem. Heels of Love is a multi-day hike in the desert and mountains surrounding the Dead Sea in Israel.
ALYN is the only hospital in Israel that is dedicated to pediatric rehabilitation. Some children arrive at ALYN after being seriously injured in traffic accidents. Others are dealing with the effects of cancer treatment. Still others were born with serious physical challenges.
These kids deserve to live at home, go to school, and play like any other kids. ALYN provides treatments and equipment custom made to help each child with their particular disability. ALYN has a worldwide reputation and treats all children.
During these trying times of strife and division, ALYN is a rare model of coexistence. ALYN treats children of all races, nationalities and religions, and the professional staff at ALYN reflects the diversity of the communities for which it cares. What a wonderful thing to be able to support, especially right now.
We hope to raise $200,000 for the children of ALYN through the hike. I hope you will join me in this wonderful effort for children who deserve all the support they can get.
