Exciting Science Project brings inventions and discoveries to ALYN's physically challenged children

To mark International Science Day ALYN’s physically challenged children, together with children from other hospitals around the country, are participating in an exciting Science Project called “Discoveries and Inventions”.   

Throughout all the departments of the Hospital, ALYN’s children will be exposed to different scientific ideas, learning within the framework of small study groups and as part of their therapy sessions.  As part of the program youth counselors from Jerusalem’s Science Museum will teach them about inventions (such as the camera and the telephone) and discoveries (such as antibiotics).  The children will hear how the inventors had to overcome many difficulties to achieve their goals.  Taking them as an example, ALYN’s physically challenged children will hopefully be inspired to continue to work hard to overcome their challenges which they face on a daily basis.
