Professional Departments

ALYN's multidisciplinary staff includes staff from a variety of  medical and clinical professions. Staff members are divided by their professional affinity and have a director that supervises their professional level and development.

The professional fields include- medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, psychology, social work and education. 

Medicine

Treatment at ALYN is provided by a team of physicians which includes specialists in the field of pediatric medicine and pediatric rehabilitation such as pediatricians, pediatric orthopedists , pediatric neurologists, pediatric urologists, specialists in contagious diseases, lung diseases, neurosurgery and psychiatry.

Nursing

The nursing staff supports every patient and their family throughout the entire rehabilitation process. The nurses assist, identify, treat and guide the patients and their families with every request relating to their physical, medical and emotional needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Physiotherapy

ALYN’s experienced physiotherapists focus on improving motor skills and respiratory function including mobility, stability and endurance. Treatment options include land therapy including use of the latest equipment and hydrotherapy in the pool.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists concentrate on promoting the child’s independent function. The goal is to equip the child with “tools” to cope with life’s demands in social, school, work and play contexts.

Speech Therapy

The goal of the speech therapists is help the patient use language through speech or any other form of communication which is suitable to the child's age, abilities and needs.

Psychology

In the first intake with the patient, the psychologist focuses on evaluating the patient's situation, factors and circumstances which affect their emotional condition and responses.
Neuropsychological Testing Service

Social work Department

The social workers focus on the family and their environment and regard the child as part of the family unit and the community to which they belong. The social workers guide the patients and their families throughout the rehabilitation process and assist in planning and implementing the patient's return to their home and community.
